Aflac All-Americans Michael Zunino and a painted Chris Jenkins enjoy the fun of House of Horrors at Universal Studios

LOS ANGELES, Ca. (August 7, 2008) – The Aflac All-Americans found out they aren't as fearless as they had previously thought. That was brought out in a profound way during a trip to Universal Studios.

"It was awesome" said Brooks Pounders, a right handed pitcher from Temecula (Ca.) High School. "It was a blast being there, with all my buddies, and going in the House of Horrors and screaming like little girls!"

That's how the players unwound after their first full scrimmage Thursday morning at the University of Southern California's Dedeaux Field.

After the Universal Studios visit the teams settled in for dinner at Buca di Beppo.

The day closed out with a decidedly big league feel. In preparation for Saturday's television broadcast, the players shot player introductions for Fox Sports Net personnel as part of the network's pre-production work.

The night ended with players autographing their Topps baseball cards.

Friday is another big day for the All-Americans as a light morning workout will be followed by the first round of the ever-popular home run derby. The top four finalists there advance to the championship Saturday morning just prior to their noon PT game at Dodger Stadium.

Other Friday activities include time set aside for hometown media and a formal meet and greet with the game's honorary chairman, Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith.

The highlight of the day will be the Aflac Awards ceremony. There the winner of the coveted Jackie Robinson award will be announced.
